Project Scope & Engineering Execution

RES & Associates delivered MEP engineering for the replacement of the PET/CT camera in Room 6505 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Replacing a hybrid nuclear imaging system inside an occupied tower required tight coordination of every utility serving the room, from equipment power down to the ceiling devices displaced by the new gantry footprint.
‍

Our electrical design re-engineered the dedicated equipment feed, grounding network, and room lighting and controls to suit the new scanner geometry and the manufacturer's power quality tolerances. Mechanical systems were re-evaluated for the revised heat rejection load, with supply and return re-zoned to hold the temperature and humidity band the imaging hardware requires during continuous clinical use.
