Project Scope & Engineering Execution

RES & Associates was engaged to deliver MEP engineering for the replacement of the uninterruptible power supply and battery system at Peter Morton Medical Plaza 200. The UPS stands between utility power and the medical systems that cannot tolerate interruption, so the entire design was built around replacing that equipment without ever dropping the load it protects.

Our electrical team engineered the new UPS and battery configuration, input and output distribution, bypass arrangement, and a detailed transition sequence allowing the existing system to carry critical loads until cutover. Mechanical design addressed battery room cooling and ventilation to manufacturer requirements, with life-safety monitoring, alarm interfaces, and hospital authority documentation coordinated throughout construction administration.
